Non-Academic Achievements
At TRIO, we believe that talent comes in many forms. We constantly help our students discover the unique gifts they have to offer to the world, both within and outside of the realm of academics.
TRIO celebrates the efforts of our students and alumni who have excelled across several fields. We honour the often unseen and unrecognised support of family members, well-wishers, mentors, and teachers of our students.
Here is a steadily growing list of recognitions earned by TRIO students and alumni:
- Arav Nallur of Grade 4 (9 years of age) has appeared for IGCSE exams and scored A+ in all subjects with 88% in Advanced Math.
- Gautam Saravanan of Grade 3 won the National Junior Robotics Sumo Wrestling competition.
- 4 students from the school represented India at the International Youth Leadership & Innovation Forum in Singapore.
- Our Students collected around 294 KGs of e-waste to enter the Limca Book of Records in 2016
- 16-year-old student Karun Divij Balachandar (CIE) has written a book titled "The Teenager's Guide to The Universe".
- Nikaya of IGCSE secured the highest marks in Sociology in India, 2015-16 session.
- Virat Karan is recognised as the youngest (1 year 10 months) child artist in India. His paintings are displayed at Sublime Gallery, UB City.
- 3rd Grade student Raghav Bhatia won a Gold Medal at the Karnataka State Level Swimming Championship Freestyle Relay in 2015.
- 11th Grade student Vrushank Balu won the final leg of the South Zone Golf Tour in June 2014.
- 4th Grade student Arjun Roshik Bharat won the World School Chess Trophy in the Under 9 Years Category in the Singapore and Canadian Open Chess Championship, Toronto in 2008.
- Anjali Anish was the First Runner-Up in The Times Fresh Face Season 12, 2019. She is currently set to make her film debut in a movie called Padavi Poorva. Anjali attended TRIO from 2010-2011 (Grades 6 & 7).
- Nisha Lobo attended TRIO from 2009 to 2018. (Grade 3 to Grade 12). Nisha was born with Ichthyosis, a rare genetic disorder. She has courageously faced and overcome several challenges posed by her condition, from an early age. She thrived as a student, in TRIO's inclusive learning environment, with the help of supportive family, peers and teachers. She has spoken publicly about her life in an inspiring TEDx talk "Respond: Don't React" at TEDxBESC. She appeared in the well-known television show, Satyameva Jayate, hosted by Aamir Khan. She was part of a popular Vicks ad-film by Proctor & Gamble, as part of their #TouchofCare campaign.
- Ganesh Srinivasan attended TRIO during 2009-2014. Throughout his time with us, he was a highly competitive tennis player in his age group and was competing all over India. In 2014, he was selected as part of the Indian team to undergo professional training in Alicante, Spain. Following this, he participated in both national and international tournaments regularly achieving a high level of success. He achieved a ranking of 45th in India and retired in 2019. He is now pursuing new challenges.
- Tanvi Paramesh, currently in Grade – 10 has performed her Arangetram at the age of 8, under disciple of Guru Karnataka Kalashree Smt. Nirmala Manjunath, Nirmala Nrithya Niketan, Bagalore in Ravindra Kalakshetra Bangalore. She was awarded 3rd prize in Jaycee Top 10 state level dance competition. She was also awarded "Karnataka Druvatare" from Karnataka state "Mandahasa Cultural Drama & Women Association".
- Sharvani Rangaswamy of Grade – 12, has won 3rd place in State Sub Junior Aquatic Championship – 2017. She is pursuing Surfing and Stand Up paddling at Mantra Surf Club. She is also involved in managing the sports foundation of Bangalore Swimming Research Centre.
- Vibha Koundinya was with TRIO from 2017 till 2019. She is an exceptional Badminton player. She was ranked 6th in Karnataka State Rankings by Karnataka Badminton Association – 2017.
- Abhay M of Grade – 7 has won Junior class 1st runner-up round 2 by JK Tyre FMSCI Rotax Max Karting Championship 2019. He has also won Junior Max 2nd runner-up in Karting in JK Tyre – FMSCI National Karting Championship 2019.
- Rupal Jain – Rupal is an ex-student who loved to sing and this has led to her being chosen for the 2nd Round of Star Kalakaar Indian Singing Competition in 2020.
