Bengaluru:
TRIO World Academy (TWA) student, Sanjana Choudary Gundapaneni, aced the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) examinations for the academic year 2020-21 by achieving a perfect score of 45/45.
What is a perfect score in IBDP?
45/45 is the highest possible score in the IB Diploma. The 6 subjects in the IB DP are scored on a scale of 1 to 7, making 7X6=42 the highest subject marks. The remaining three points come from EE and ToK as per the EE ToK matrix, taking the highest possible total marks to forty-five.
Sanjana said that TRIO’s teachers and coordinators always supported her as she applied to universities abroad through an agency. She also said,” the students who have taken the IBDP have an advantage when applying to colleges abroad. The IB curriculum is rigorous and demanding. It is respected by universities around the globe. The practical element of the course, including EE and ToK helps develop research skills and write academic papers. CAS is a wonderful opportunity to pursue meaningful work relevant to the course you want to apply to.”
TWA achieved overall grade point averages above average, with five results being above 37 points.
Mr. Vinod Singh. Head of School, TRIO World Academy congratulated the students on their results. He said, “I am proud of our students for their hard work every day. The IB DP is designed to help students achieve exceptional academic performance, but also develop social, emotional and critical thinking skills. The results demonstrate the immense capability and efforts of our DP graduates. TRIO has consistently exceeded the world average results. “
