Curso de Español IGCSE

¡Hola! Bienvenidos al curso de Español de Cambridge. El objetivo principal es desarrollar en los estudiantes habilidades de comprensión y comunicación para que se puedan desenvolver en situaciones de la vida diaria.
Durante el curso, los estudiantes adquieren un enfoque cultural, aprendiendo acerca de los países de habla Hispana. De esta manera, los estudiantes fortalecen las habilidades lingüísticas necesarias para sus estudios universitarios y el mundo del trabajo.
El curso ofrece a los estudiantes un sinfín de aprendizajes, como generar conciencia de la cultura Hispana y aproximarse a la naturaleza de la lengua. Así mismo, los motiva a tener una actitud positiva y empática hacia otras culturas.
En grado noveno damos la bienvenida a los estudiantes con temas introductorios, para facilitar la comprensión de temas posteriores. Sin embargo, se requiere que los estudiantes tengan un conocimiento básico del idioma.
Las unidades posteriores se enfocan en temas como la casa, el colegio, los alimentos, el cuerpo y la salud, la familia, la rutina diaria, entrenamiento, festivales, vacaciones, la ciudad e ir de compras.
En grado décimo los estudiantes continúan el curso de manera progresiva, con una mayor exigencia gramatical, y cubriendo temas como los servicios públicos, el medio ambiente, las direcciones en la ciudad, la educación universitaria, el mundo del trabajo, el arte Hispano, los festivales y la comida alrededor del mundo.
En este curso los estudiantes conocerán el idioma Español y su cultura, aprenderán de manera divertida, a través de clases dinámicas y desarrollarán habilidades lingüísticas que les permitirá comunicarse en diferentes contextos.
IGCSE Spanish Course
Grades 9 and 10

Hello! Welcome to the Spanish IGCSE course. The main goal is to develop transferable skills to enhance understanding and communication in everyday situations in Spanish.
During the course, the students will get a cultural approach and awareness, while they acquire the essential linguistic skills required for their continuing education and the world of work.
The course offers the students numerous learning experiences, such as, raising Hispanic culture awareness and getting a close approach to the nature of the language. This is also a quite motivating environment in order to develop a positive and sympathetic attitude to other cultures.
We welcome Grade 9 with topics that will introduce them into the course, to facilitate comprehension and level unification. However, it is important to highlight that in order to meet the course aims, it is required that the students have a previous knowledge in Spanish.
After the introductory phase, we focus on topics such as the house, the school, food, body and health, family, daily routine, leisure activities, festivals, holidays, the city and shopping.
In Grade 10, the students continue progressively, with a greater grammatical demand, covering topics such as, public services, environment, directions, university, and the world of work. Finalising the course with an international approach: Hispanic art, festivals, and food.
In this course the students get to know the language and its culture, they will enjoy while they learn through dynamic and motivating classes, as the Hispanic culture is itself, developing skills that will allow them to communicate in different contexts.
Curso de Español B – IBDP
Grados 11 y 12

¡Hola! Bienvenidos al curso de Español B, aquí aprenderán el idioma español a través de su cultura, estarán inmersos en el arte, las costumbres, los estilos de vida, los festivales, las problemáticas globales actuales y la tecnología del mundo Hispano.
Español B ha sido diseñado para estudiantes con conocimiento previo de la lengua, para que continúen desarrollando habilidades lingüísticas receptivas, productivas e interactivas en un nivel superior.
El objetivo principal es fomentar el entendimiento intercultural, y al mismo tiempo, desarrollar las habilidades lingüísticas necesarias para que los estudiantes adquieran un compromiso global basado en una mentalidad internacional.
El curso motiva a los estudiantes a tener diferentes puntos de vista acerca del lenguaje y la cultura, hacer comparaciones culturalessin juzgar y ver el lenguaje y la cultura desde una perspectiva global. El curso brinda espacios para la constante reflexión y pensamiento crítico de las diferentes áreas temáticas.
Las áreas temáticas son: Identidades, donde se explora la naturaleza del ser humano y sus significados. Experiencias, donde se proponen historias, eventos y experiencias que marcan un camino y dan forma a nuestras vidas. Ingenio Humano, donde se conoce la creatividad e innovación y como estos componentes ejercen una influencia en el mundo. Organización social, donde se explora como los seres humanos nos organizamos en grupos, a través de sistemas comunes o distintos intereses. Por último, compartir el planeta, donde se habla de los retos y oportunidades que enfrentamos como individuos y comunidades en el mundo moderno.
Durante el curso los estudiantes aprenderán a realizar diferentes tipos de texto, para desenvolverse en el mundo del mañana en diferentes contextos. Los estudiantes participarán de una forma dinámica, abrazando otras culturas y formas de pensar que los ayudará a formar una mente abierta, empática y curiosa.
Spanish B Course – IBDP
Grades 11 and 12

Hello! Welcome to the Spanish B course, here you will learn Spanish through the culture, be immersed in the Hispanic art, customs, lifestyles, festivals, current global challenges, and technology.
Spanish B is designed for students with some previous experience in the target language, that way they will enhance the receptive, productive, and interactive skills in a superior level.
The main goal is fostering intercultural understanding, while the students develop the required linguistic skills for a global engagement, which supports international-mindedness.
The course encourages the students to understand culture from different approaches, to compare language and culture in a non-judgmental environment and to think language and culture in a global context. The course provides opportunities for constant reflection and critical thinking related to the themes.
The themes are: Identities, which explore the nature of the human. Experiences, where students reflect around stories, events and journeys that shape lives. Human ingenuity, which is about how human creativity and innovation influence the world. Social organisation, studying how systems and groups of people are organised. Finally, sharing the planet, that explores the challenges and opportunities that humans are facing in the modern world.
During the course students will learn to make diverse type of texts, aimed to navigate the world of tomorrow in different contexts. Students will participate in dynamic classes, embracing other cultures and perspectives, in order to develop open-minded, empathetic and inquiring individuals.
