Grade 1 - 5 (Students aged 6 to 12)
The IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) at Trio World Academy, offered for students aged 6 to 12, provides a vibrant, inquiry-based approach to learning that empowers students to think critically, explore deeply, and take ownership of their learning. Rooted in a transdisciplinary framework, the PYP connects subject areas through meaningful real-world themes, enabling students to make connections across disciplines and apply their learning in authentic contexts.
The PYP focuses on the development of the whole child: academically, socially, emotionally, and ethically. At Trio World Academy, learning extends beyond the classroom as students are encouraged to become curious inquirers, reflective thinkers, and responsible global citizens. Through collaborative projects, hands-on experiences, and reflective practices, students develop essential skills and dispositions required for lifelong learning.
Informed by extensive educational research on how students learn, how educators teach, and the principles of effective assessment, the PYP places a strong emphasis on inquiry-based learning. Students actively construct meaning by asking questions, investigating ideas, and engaging in thoughtful dialogue. This approach nurtures deep conceptual understanding while fostering independence, resilience, and a genuine love for learning.
