Philosophy of Inclusion

At TRIO WORLD ACADEMY, we believe in inclusive education. We have embraced the ideology of educating our children in our mainstream classroom situation. We offer inclusive education through partial or full classroom inclusion, depending on the individual need of every child.

All children are part of their homeroom in academics, P.E, ECA, and Creative Learning activities to the best possible extent, as our mainstream teachers follow the method of differential teaching.

Specialized Team

Our SEN Department comprises Special Educators specialised in Specific Learning Difficulties (SLD) and a Psychological Counsellor.

Individual Education Programmes (IEPs)

Needs-based IEPs are developed by the SEN team, focusing on Language Development and Social Functioning.

Tailored Curriculum

Curriculum is adapted to address the child’s Academic, Socio-emotional, and behavioural needs based on their current level of function.

Our Support System

Classroom Support

Special Educators work on skill-based areas, observing the child and providing constant support and feedback to homeroom and specialist teachers.

Professional Development

We arrange external counsellors and special educators to undertake professional development for teachers on handling SEN students in regular classes.

Community Sensitisation

The school sensitises the community on a regular basis to foster an inclusive and understanding environment.

Targeted Assistance

We identify new referrals within the school and arrange shadow teachers for students with severe needs requiring 1:1 support.

Admission Policy for Learning Support

At Trio World Academy, we celebrate diversity in learning and encourage students with varied learning needs to apply for admission. We are committed to providing an inclusive and supportive environment where each student’s unique abilities and potential are recognized and nurtured. With personalized learning plans, experienced educators, and a comprehensive support system, we aim to ensure that every student thrives academically, socially, and emotionally.

Admission for students requiring learning support shall be granted based on the following criteria:
  • Assessment and recommendations provided by the Learning Support Department
  • Review of relevant external evaluation and assessment reports
  • Availability of appropriate and adequate support systems to meet the individual learning needs of the student
  • Availability of seats in the applicable grade level
